How should I store firewood?

Cover the top, keep the sides ventilated, and lift the bottom row off damp ground. Avoid wrapping the whole stack in plastic.

A 1m3 crate suits regular burners with a proper store. A bag is useful for top-ups, smaller spaces, or occasional fires.
